Emirates has announced its decision to prohibit passengers from using power banks on flights from October 10, as an increasing number of lithium battery-related incidents across the aviation industry have been reported in recent years. 

Dubai Police has impounded two cars and fined the drivers after they were caught performing "dangerous stunts" on the road in an attempt to gain social media fame.

UAE President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan reviewed progress in UAE-Russia cooperation with President Vladimir Putin at the Kremlin, before concluding his official visit to Moscow on Thursday.
