UAE, Lebanon to ease travel restrictions

The UAE and Lebanon have agreed to ease travel restrictions between the countries.

In a statement, the UAE Ministry of Foreign Affairs said "the two sides agreed to allow citizens to travel by implementing necessary procedures and mechanisms to ease movement between the two countries".

It comes a day after UAE President Sheikh Mohamed held talks with Lebanese leader Joseph Aoun in Abu Dhabi on Wednesday.
