UAE announces Global Food Technology Challenge

The UAE is taking steps to achieve better food security.

His Highness Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, has launched the $1 million Global Food Technology Challenge.

The seven-month challenge, which is the biggest of its kind, seeks to find innovative solutions for food production and management in the UAE.

The finalists will be announced in April 2020 with the prize money divided among four winners.
