Two injured as crane collapses on cars in Umm Al Quwain

A falling crane has crashed down on two vehicles in Umm Al Quwain, injuring its drivers.

According to the police, the incident took place on Emirates Road on Tuesday afternoon when a crane operator was lifting a 20-tonne concrete pipe.

The crane column fell onto the street, damaging the two cars and injuring the drivers, who were airlifted to the hospital.

The crane operator has been charged with damaging property and causing unintentional injury.
