Dubai's Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) on Friday announced the closure of a key road after heavy rainfall left some parts waterlogged.

Taking to Twitter, the authority said Al Asayel St. between Al Maraba’a St. and Kahraman St. has been closed to traffic in both directions.

Motorists have been advised to "use First Al Khail St. and Al Khail Rd." to avoid delays.

RTA said their emergency workers were working towards clearing the road.
