Health cover access expanded at Abu Dhabi government hospitals

WAM

Two government hospitals in Abu Dhabi will now accept a broader health insurance cover so more UAE residents can access their medical facilities.

Making the announcement, Abu Dhabi Health Services Company (SEHA) said the insurance coverage expansion at Sheikh Khalifa Medical City (SKMC) and Tawam Hospital is in line with Abu Dhabi’s vision to provide quality healthcare to all its citizens and residents.

Dr. Safa Azaat Al Mustafa, Acting Chief Executive Officer, SKMC, said the move will strengthen SEHA’s integrated healthcare model.

The 531-bed acute care at SKMC delivers exceptional medical and surgical care to patients through its 16 outpatient clinics, and covers specialties such as dentistry, neurology, emergency medicine, dermatology, critical care and pediatrics.

Meanwhile, 531-bed Tawam Hospital is also home to a world-class Oncology Centre.
