H.H. Sheikh Mohamed, Benjamin Netanyahu discuss bilateral relations

The Abu Dhabi Crown Prince and Israeli Prime Minister have discussed strengthening bilateral ties.

During the telephone call, His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, and Benjamin Netanyahu also "examined prospects for peace and the need for stability, cooperation and development in the region".

According to the national news agency WAM, the leaders also looked at "strengthening cooperation in the fight against the coronavirus, ways to empower youth in the region, the principles of tolerance and cooperation and the importance of dialogue in building friendships and lasting peace".

They also reviewed the steps being taken to enhance UAE-Israel cooperation in various development and economic fields and "expressed their great appreciation for the vital role played by the US and President Donald Trump in reaching (the) peace accord".

Last month, the UAE and Israel formally signed the Abraham Accord in Washington.
