H.H. Sheikh Hamdan chairs Defence Council meeting

His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai and the UAE's Deputy Prime Minister and Defence Minister, has reaffirmed the UAE’s commitment to strengthening defence capabilities and fostering national leadership.

Chairing a meeting of the Defence Council, Sheikh Hamdan stressed the importance of unity, strategic planning and teamwork in advancing the leadership’s vision for a modern and fully prepared defence system.

He also praised the continued support of President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, commending his dedication to equipping the nation’s forces with advanced technologies and systems.

The meeting focused on enhancing military and institutional strategies, and improving capabilities across various Ministry departments.

His Highness also visited the National Defence College in Abu Dhabi, where he was welcomed by senior officials and briefed on the college’s academic programmes for both military and civilian personnel.

During his tour, Sheikh Hamdan met with officers enrolled in the 12th National Defence Course, discussing their progress and reaffirming support for excellence in national service.

He highlighted the College’s role as a key institution in preparing future leaders to protect national achievements and tackle emerging challenges through strategic thinking and collaboration between military and civilian sectors.
