Drivers in the UAE can have four black points removed from their traffic records if they avoid accidents on August 25.

The Ministry of Interior's annual "A Day Without Accidents" initiative falls on the first day of the new school year.

Part of its 'A Safe School Year' campaign, it aims to reward drivers who adhere to road safety rules and avoid distractions.

Drivers must sign an online pledge and avoid committing a traffic offence on the designated day to have four black points automatically deducted from their licences on September 15.

The Ministry said this initiative was part of the ongoing efforts to boost road safety.
