Hotels in the country could soon be using facial recognition technology to identify threats on their properties. A software, often used by governments, is being introduced to hotels abroad. A keynote discussion today at the TecSec summit on the sidelines of The Hotel Show 2015 reflected a trend in providing advanced security solutions into hotels. The technology is used to quickly identify both VIPs as well as those who are deemed a threat to security. ARN spoke to Kees van Donk the director of hospitality and healthcare EMEA at NEC Enterprise Solutions. He explained why hotels are ideal locations for this technology.
