Just days after former Tata Sons Chairman Cyrus Mistry was replaced by Ratan Tata in a sudden move, three top executives of the Tata Group have resigned. Human resources chief NS Rajan, group business development and public affairs head Madhu Kannan and group strategy executive Nirmalya Kumar have quit from their positions, media reports said on Saturday. The three executives were members of an executive council, which was set up to create long-term value for stakeholders and boost returns on investment. In another development, Mistry and Tata met Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi to brief him about the situation in the $100 billion salt-to-software conglomerate. Following his exit, Mistry had levelled allegations of big losses at the Tata Group due to poor decision-making and accused Ratan Tata of high-handedness. The Tata Sons board have named a five-member committee, which includes Ratan Tata, to choose a successor to Mistry within four months.
